Rock Group Eve's Burden launches new album

Eve's Burden is a fairly new band from California. Their first album The Black Letter is an impressive rock song-driven disc 17. This album is powered by two things: first, an incredibly powerful vocal performance, underscored by the amazing Sharon Jordan tuning range with a vocal quality like a favorable combination of Ann Wilson, Kelly Clarkson, Janis Joplin and Melissa Etheridge, and second, the awesome guitar licks entire album by producer / guitarist Jerry Leal.

There is something wonderful about the entire '80s sound, with keyboard, bass, drums and completion of the backing instrumentation and creating a solid and full rock sound. At first Eve's Burden comes out as a vehicle for singer of the band, Sharon Jordan. Jordan sure does not sing like a white girl, however, and this is a wonderful thing. Instead, this diva - and yes, they deserved that title as a queen - belts out a gospel choir as a soloist on these often-funky tunes.Upon However, the unique uplifting listening deeper sense of their songs starts to shine through. The songs are quite lyrical, melodic and catchy, with introspective and sociological texts. I caught up the group with producer Jerry Leal and asked him to comment about the philosophy of their songs, here's what he had to say ...

"Today We are bombarded with negative messages in music, themes of hatred, revenge, infidelity, failure, sadness, and it was like a burger I would not my dog ... in producing this album, we decided to positive themes in music interwoven themes like forgiveness, love, overcoming, release, redemption ... actually just the opposite. There are numerous studies about the effects of music on plants and animals, "happy / cheerful" music is shown to be a health promoting effect and the reverse is true of negative or harsh-sounding music. "

The black letter is well produced and ready for an extensive radio play. My favorite cuts are the opener, an acoustic rock song called, "Love Keeps Me Hanging On." "Candy Girl" is filled with catchy lyrics, beautiful guitar, and clapping of hands to boot. "The Fame Game" is a song about the life of a musician breakthrough that memorable lyrics, a catchy chorus, a harmonica features, and more great guitar work. "Euphoria" a '70s-inspired rock guitar riff and a stellar vocal Black letter is a solid debut album by an up-and-coming group that you'll be sure to hear much more in the near future.
