diatonic vs. chromatic harmonica?
What are the pros and cons of both
Diatonic - Pros: cheap (Hohner Marine Band is approximately $ 30.00), fairly easy to learn, perfect for blues and country. Cons: Need a different harp for every key you intend to play, no characters available for for "odd agreements" within one beat of the music. (except for note bending) Chromatic - Pros: Play a wide range of music, usually higher quality materials are music with harps Cons modulations and not to change: Can be expensive (Hohner Super 64 is about $ 300.00), harder to learn (subjective), means that the larger whole more difficult to lug around with you. ... though nothing like a marching band wing.
