Where you really start especially for the control of the slow hand blues? Difficult question really, but it depends on many factors such as personal influences, the specific key, finger size and special patterns called boxes. Each box has the notes of an octave in an arrangement that will be easy to play. Once you are familiar with the boxes, it will help you to play with a blues backing track. The boxes or patterns mostly highlight the places where you can note a significant bend your index finger. One of the best ways of mastering Slow Hand of the blues is to spend more time examining the various positions that will help you play your strings better.

Here is an example of a Slow Hand Blues scale: The A Blues note

I --- 8 --- 10 - I

I --- 8 --- 10 - I

I-7-8-9 ----- I

I ----------- I

I ----------- I

I ----------- I

The E minor blues scale is as follows:

I ------------------------- 0-3-I

I --------------------- I ----- 0-3

I --------------- I --------- 0-2-3

I ----------- 0-2 --------------- I

I ----- 0-1-2 ------------------- I

I-0-3 ------------------------- I

The E minor pentatonic scale will be as:

I ------------------------------------- 12-15-I

I ------- I ------------------------------- 12-15

I ---------------------- I ------------- 12-14-15

I ---------------- I ---------------------- 12-14

I ------- I ---------------------------- 12-13-14

I-12-15 ------------------------------------- I

A ----- 0-2 ----------------- I I

E I-0-3 --------------------- I

You should start with an open E-string and when you reach the D-string, go to the 2nd fret, which is an E. You need to play both the notes simultaneously so you can hear. To make it easier, download some of the blues backing track same and practice them. One important thing: Never download MIDIS blues backing track, because it will not help the scales and to understand the changes.
