How long does it take to play the harmonica like a pro?
I've been playing again and again for a few years. Because I do not stick to it and the practicing daily as I should have, I would say that my proficiency level is the same as that of someone who already exercise daily for one months or two. My goal (I play tongue block method) is finally able to play the 80 songs on my sheet music from memory, internal memo, inadvertently playing other holes in the process. I can say I have mastered about five songs in this and am very close with about 6 others. How long, if I stick to it (about one hours a day) it takes a lot for me to single Note playing music (not accidentally play other holes) and flawless memory? Any tips and / or useful sites?
If I can, I suggest that you go about this whole thing wrong. It is good to set goals and finished, but you should concentrate on what you're doing every day towards your goals. Do not set limits on them or you'll be disappointed and will ultimately frustrated and give up. Just focus on doing today. Do it tomorrow, because that's what you do. You're a musician, and a harmonica player. And that is a musician and harmonica player to do. They practice. Everyday. If that is who you are, it takes care of itself. If you can do that, you archive your goals. Time is not important. It is the journey not the destination.
