My son has asthma and a friend of mine said she heard about this on some TV show. I've always thought that there was no real way to exercise your lungs difficult.
Yes ... any type of prolonged exercise will strengthen the chest wall and lungs. I blew bubbles endlessly and it was amazing how it helps. Clarinet helped my child ... So go for it.
