What should I do to a secondary school Music Teacher?
I am a grade 10 student in BC, Canada. I play guitar, drums, bass, piano, harmonica and I sing, but I'm self taught. I was wondering: 1) Can be self-taught make it difficult for me to pursue further education in music theory because I do not know it? 2) What have I appropriate in terms of degrees to a music lesson at secondary school level? 3) What colleges or universities would enable me to get this degree? What courses should I take? Any help would be great. Thanks for your time!
For a high school music teacher, you need a degree in music education .. if you are self-taught, then you most likely to start with classes now, bc there is no way you will be able to keep up with other professionals who have good teachers over the years. You must learn theory to a high school music teacher, part of what you teach your class. Basically, if you would like to pursue this career, much to the music you practicing at least 2 hours per day.
