Does anyone know a good bit on the harmonica?
It's a Hohner Chromonica that my dad got from a garage sale. God knows when it was created five years or fifty years ago. The front says, in all capitals: "The Chromonica (Chromatic Harmonica), made by M. Hohner Germany 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 The back says: MADE IN GERMANY M. Hohner Fabrique EN ALLEMAGNE, and has four double circle patterns on all Grand Prix say. One is Genevl 1927, for a Philad 1926, for a Paris, 1937, and the last is for Chic, 1895. The brass rim around it is pretty damaged. The (quite rusty) bolts on being a kind of weird, like shruikins or stars or something. Nor would you guess you were tidy professional? Not a hole to play, and just one other neighbor plays his notes. I would like to play this thing. It has a very nice sound. I want to know if anyone could date.
If a Jewish star between the two hands on the emblem, it was done before World War II.
