How to play the harmonica?
im now learning how to play the harmonica and have a few pointers. Ex: when im playing piano when their husbands are some notes What number should I just hit a note without blowing in others? I used my thumbs to the remarks block on either side of the note im trying to get, but im not sure whether this the right company. Suggestions? thank you in advance!
Back in the day, people just started Tongue block. In recent years pucker embouchure seems to be king. The three most frequent single-note harmonica for his embouchures: Tuck, Tongue Block, and U-Blocking Pucker when (as above) as if you whistle. Tongue blocking is true you open your mouth more than 3 or 4 holes, then use your tongue against the ridge of the harmonica at all to block, but the hole you want sound. U-Blocking is where you curl your tongue and direct air through the middle and the harmonica. As for holding the harmonica, the most common way is to up the numbers, the harp in your left hand, using your right hand on head / wah / etc. Your finger-blocking technique is a good support for training, but I would not really. (For Piano Man, you're playing a C diatonic harmonic in first position, by the way, burr walnut 4Blow and 7Blow) Anyway, use your fingers to block out the holes and to hear a single note should sound. Remember this sound, and work to get the same sound as your company the harmonica well. It's like instant feedback. I agree with who said practice. Practice is the only way to get better.
