Is blocking gross tongue on the harmonica?
I bought a Lee Oskar diatonic harmonica and I try to find out. Two questions: 1. I read a lot on the tongue block online. Since I am starting from scratch, I must try and learn from that right, so I end up doing it all the time? Or is it a skill I would not worry until later on? 2. Just in my first half hour of playing the darn thing, I already started to gross me out. The idea of the tongue to block seems rather disgusting. Understand me wrong, I am a married man. But I'm just thinking about it too much? Do other harmonica players ever grossed out looking at their dried slobber marks on the metal plate? Do I just need it to? Should I clean and / or disinfection after I play? Thank you!
It is a necessary evil! Haha ... really. If you want awesome control and just do so ... a good cleaning afterwards is a good idea. Anyways, who cares, it is a Intrument will not share anyway. Until your good with yourself.
