What is a good starter Harmonica?
I'd like to buy my fiance a Harmonica for Christmas/Welcome home gift.
He's very musical and i know he misses his guitar and piano when he is deployed.
I'm thinking a harmonica would be a sweet gift for a traveling kind of man.
I was thinking "Marine Band" because that is what Neil Young uses. I think bob dylan as well.
I also know there's different keys C, E, G
what set would be good?
If he's going to be playing rock, blues or folk, the Hohner Marine Band is the choice of most pros. A standard Marine Band set contains 5 harps keyed in C, G, A, D and E. A set aimed at blues players contains 7 harps A,Bb,C,D,E,F and G.
If you think he'd play more like Stevie Wonder, I'd recommend the Hohner Super Chromonica.
