Larry Carlton, very talented Smooth Jazz artist has titled his latest album Blue Sapphire and released Wow! It is really good.
Carlton is a heavy hitter in the Smooth Jazz genre for some time now and Sapphire Blue is an excellent illustration of the reasons why.
This CD kicks off with a great job, Friday Night Shuffle, which I expected to be heard on radio stations everywhere, and rightly so. It's a really nice track.
Blue Sapphire is a pretty varied, mix of 8 songs that are very well written songs by this clearly talented artist.
Listen and I think youÂ'll agree that the song choices are excellent and the overall production excellent as always the case with Mr. Carlton.
While this entire album is really some of my favorites are track 2, a few Kings, track 7, only one excuse, and track 8, Take Me Down.
SmoothLee My Bonus Pick, and the one I got Sore [... as in "Stuck On Repeat"] is track 1, Friday Night Shuffle. What a nice track!
