Tablature is a form of musical notation that tells players where their fingers on a particular instrument rather than places to play.

I've been playing music for over 40 years and I use tabs all the time to help me new material or just learn to jam with sometimes.
It's cheaper than buying a tab book (without sound I might add), or a play book for $ 29.95 a pair numbers, and it is more efficient if I can use my computer where the tab roles, rather than stopping to turn pages every few minutes.
